Orchestral Reductions
Chris Fecteau, arranger
Chris has been creating reductions of operas since 2000, beginning with a sextet version of Ariadne auf Naxos. Companies around the United States, Italy, France, and Germany have utilized these reductions to great effect and at reasonable fees. The intimacy of smaller spaces is changing the opera world, and the use of smaller orchestral forces is more than an economic choice – it’s a way of bringing your audience closer to the music.
YOU print the materials, or make the parts available to players for use on tablets, eliminating shipping charges. Printed parts also available.

About Our Services
Most titles are available in relatively standard ensemble sizes (single winds and strings). Smaller reductions (from 6 – 12 players) may revolve around piano or keyboard. If you don’t find what you need, bespoke reductions are often possible, and our catalogue is always growing. We can often also include supertitles to ensure accessibility and full engagement for your audiences. We cater to small and medium opera companies, focusing on those with limited pit space or budget constraints, providing high-quality instrumental support for your opera productions.
Our commitment to quality ensures that every score and part set are meticulously prepared, allowing performers to focus on their artistry. We understand the unique challenges faced by smaller companies and strive to provide resources that enhance their productions without compromising on quality.
